Best, Christina (Chris) at the Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg on Monday, December 5, 2005. Chris Best (nee Shields), in her 77th year, was the beloved wife of the late William Allan Best. Dear mother of Glenn (Barbara) of Maynooth, Gloria Farrow (Richard) of Cobourg, Margret (Roy Cochrane) of Cobourg, Bill (Joanne) of Bewdley, Deborah (Lloyd Capener) of Cobourg, Tom (Marie) of Cobourg, Laurie (Ken Hiltz) of Cobourg and John (Anita) of Cobourg, also an infant daughter predeceased. Survived by 18 Grandchildren and 28 Great Grandchildren. Daughter of the late Angus and Mary Shields. Sister of Donald, Jim, Thomas, Jack and Sandy Shields, all predeceased. Following cremation a service will be held at the Heritage Cemetery of St. Peter on Friday, December 9, 2005 at 2 p.m. If desired, donations in memory of Chris can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Association.
