It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Wilfred Robert "Bob" Sunday, who passed away peacefully at Campbellford Memorial Hospital on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at the age of 73.
Bob lived a life rich with stories, laughter, and an appreciation for the world around him. He had a gift for storytelling, a mischievous sense of humour and a way of leaving those around him smiling. He found joy in drawing, held a deep love for his cats, and felt a special connection to nature in all its forms.
In the days before his passing, Bob shared that he had lived a great life. It is a sentiment that reflects a life lived on his own terms and one that will be remembered by those fortunate enough to know him. He leaves behind friends, family, and a community who will cherish his memory and the moments they shared with him.
As Bob begins his next journey, may he be welcomed home, find peace and be reunited with those who have gone before him. His spirit and stories will continue to live on in the hearts of his friends and throughout the Alderville community he called home.
A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held on Saturday, July 4, at 11:00 a.m. at the Alderville Community Centre. All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend.
