It is with profound sadness that the family of Heather Cooper announce her passing.
Born in Louth, England, Heather came to Canada when she was three years old with her parents Ronald and Eileen Cooper. She was raised in Toronto, and began her career there in graphic design and fine art at the age of 18.
Her artistic talents were evident from a very early age, and her parents gifted her a hand made wooden box containing her very first set of oil paints at the age of eight. With this gift, her talents were ignited by her first painting of an imaginary cottage in an orchard. From here bloomed a lifetime of creativity that spanned more than seven decades. Her art will continue to inspire and captivate for generations to come.
Heather leaves behind her loving and devoted partner Terry Price with whom she created a magical and serene home in the woods, where she continued to be inspired by nature in her art. Terry and Heather’s love story began nearly 65 years ago, with some time spent living separate lives, but later found one another as only true love does.
Heather was a giving, kind, and loving mother. Her relationship with her only child Sarah was bonded by true and pure motherly love.
As a grandmother, she was nurturing and attentive and took a deep interest in her grandchildren's lives, passing on her wisdom to each of them.
She is survived by her daughter Sarah Cooper Burns Graham and son in law Eric Graham, and by her five grandchildren, Calum Graham (Jessica Auger), Phoebe Graham-Stienburg (Taylor Stienburg), Maxwell Graham, Gavin Graham (Ariel Walker), and Chloe Graham.
A Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home on June 26, 2026 at 3:30 pm.
She will be missed and cherished always. We will carry her in our hearts forever. We love you Nama xox

Dear Terry and family. We are so sorry to hear of Heather's passing. We enjoyed knowing Heather and Terry and the times we spent at their beautiful property and at Heather's showings. What a lovely and talented person she was. We were privileged to know her.
Jerry and I are so saddened to learn of Heather's passing, but have every faith that she's once again wielding a paint brush with all the passion and dexterity that captured the attention of so many appreciative admirers over her illustrious lifetime - albeit in a realm we aspire to. I can hardly wait to see what she's painted in the great beyond! (I absolutely believe that Shi was among the first to greet her!)
Dear Terry, Eric and Sarah and family, Our deepest condolences on Heather’s passing. We are thinking of you all and sending our love and prayers during this difficult time. Chuck and Dale
