Wendy Helen Samis

May 20, 1952 - May 31, 2026

Peacefully at Northumberland Hills Hospital, with family by her side, in her 75th year.

She will be mourned deeply by her loving husband of 53 years, Bernard Samis and her four children; Katherine (Sean), Ron (Chyvone), Jamie (Tracy) and Joanne (Joseph - predeceased) and her two furry companions, Wiki & D.O.G.

A beloved grandmother of Jessica (Chris), Justin (Whitney), Jonathan (Ashlee), Kailey (Brad), Jeffrey, Jacob (Laura), Dalton, Megan, Sarah (Cory), Nathan, Brandon, Travis, Taijo, Seth, Talan, and Cole.

The keeper of the cookie jar for 15 great grandchildren; Jack, Henry, Charlie, Ryker, Savannah, Octavia, Jensen, Riley, Clarke, Eli, Bowen, Isla, Reese, Hudsyn and Maximus.

Sister of David, Richard, and Carol. She is predeceased by her brothers Johnny & Michael as well as her parents, John and Sarah Kniff.

She was the matriarch of her family, a lover of cake & flowers and an avid Tetley tea drinker. She was a garden enthusiast with a green thumb growing raspberry bushes, lillies, dahlias and many houseplants. Her strong will and quick wit made her a good anchor in decisions and a great companion in life.

"Ya think?"
"Nuff said."
"Jus sayin."

She will be fondly missed by her dear friend Ruth in Scotland and her cousin Donnie Ward. She is predeceased and welcomed with open arms on the other side by two of her most favourite people; Bonnie, & Rosa.

She will also be sorely missed by her chosen sisters in life: Shirley, Beverly and Rosemary, her brothers-in-law, her extended families, and the community.

In respecting her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family celebration will be arranged at a later date.
