Gail Diane Fisher

August 29, 1946 - May 17, 2026

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Gail at The Bridge Hospice, Warkworth. Gail was the beloved wife of Blake Fisher and a devoted mother to Darrin Baldini (LeeAnn), Debbie Groves and Diane Ridge (Harry) and her step-daughters Melissa and Monique. She was a cherished Nana to 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, all whom brought her pride and joy. Gail was also the loving sister of Gary Reading. Gail will be lovingly remembered for her beautiful gardens, her passion for baking and the kindness she shared with everyone around her. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Michael’s Catholic Church on Monday June 15th, 2026 at 10:00 am. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to St. Elizabeth Health Home Care and to the staff at The Bridge Hospice for their comfort and compassion provided during Gail's final days. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gail’s memory may be made to The Bridge Hospice Warkworth, Ontario.

With my deepest sympathy to Gail's family. I have known Gail since I was a very little girl ... my parents (Marg and Mike Waller) and Gail's parents (Barb and Ray) were great friends all their adult lives. I was quite a bit younger than Gail, but she and my older sister Gwen (who died Jan. 6th this year) were about the same age. I remember the one and only camping trip when our two families went camping together in our matching, newly purchased, very large orange tents. Gwen and Gail were reluctant teenagers who hadn't wanted to go camping... our Dad's set up our tents, unfortunately in a "dip" in the campsite - ... a bad storm came during the night and both tents were under about a foot of water by the next morning! Gail and Gwen, I remember, were extremely unimpressed by the whole thing. As a 7 year old, I thought it quite an adventure as we got to go into town for breakfast while the tents and everything in them dried out. I hope this humorous little story will bring some cheer into these very sad days... My thoughts are with you all - it's so hard to lose your Mom/Grandma/Sister. Brenda (Waller) Quinn
