Passed away on Saturday April 4th, 2026 at the Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg at the age of 78. Fred was the beloved husband of Linda (nee Mahaney) for over 58 years. Cherished father of Cody (Julie) and Steven. Loving grandfather to Daniel (Kayla), Dakota (Destiny), Gracie and Kendra. Great-grandfather to Tony, Everlee, Lucas, Willow, Blakely, Finnley and Charlette. Fred is survived by his siblings Dave (Eileen) Simpson and Linda (the late Bill) Niles and predeceased by his remaining siblings George, Karen, Diane, Paul, Denny and Cindy. Fred will be dearly missed by many extended family and friends within the community.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Alderville Community Centre, 8913 45, Roseneath, ON, on Saturday June 27th, 2026 from 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm.
If desired, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
