Paul Bonner

December 29, 1942 - April 3, 2026

In his 84th year, our beloved father, grandfather, and great grandfather, Paul Bonner passed away, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, kindness, and connection. He was predeceased by his devoted wife Pat, his mother Ivy, and his brother Peter, each of whom he held close in his heart throughout his life.
He is lovingly remembered by his son Jeff (Tricia), who shared in his wisdom, humor, and unwavering support. He was a proud and devoted grandfather to his granddaughter Tasha (Adam), as well as his grandson Dallas, each of whom brought him immense joy. His heart grew even fuller with the arrival of his great grandson Armin, and great granddaughter Annika, who were a source of constant pride and happiness.
For many years he built a successful career in sales, most notably in car sales, where he was known far beyond the showroom floor. More than simply selling vehicles, he built lasting relationships. His customers often became friends, returning not just for his expertise, but for his honesty, warmth, and easygoing nature. He took great pride in his work and cherished the many people he met and worked with over the years.
A natural storyteller, he had a gift for making people laugh. He was always ready with a joke or two and never missed an opportunity to lift someone’s spirits with his kind words.
He loved a good card game. Especially when he had the chance to win at euchre or crib – a victory he never failed to celebrate. Those games brought him laughter, friendly competition, and cherished time with family and friends.
He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for his generous heart, his sense of humor, and the way he made people feel—seen, heard, and appreciated. His memory will live on in the stories shared, the laughter echoed, and the love carried forward by his family and all those whose lives he touched.
There will be a visitation at MacCoubrey Funeral Home on Tuesday April 14th from 10am-12pm with a funeral service to follow in the Chapel at 12 noon. Interment will take place at Union cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Paul’s memory to Community Living Toronto
The family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Dimitri and the Care Team on 1A for their wonderful care of Paul.
