Barb, Brett and Erin, my deepest condolences on the loss of Rick. He was a wonderful guy, and I’m sure you will feel comfort from the many happy memories. I know how much Marilynn admired her brother and how he inspired a small-town kid from Port Perry to have the confidence to do great things, like he did. He will be greatly missed and not forgotten.

Barb and family, I am sending heartfelt condolences to you with your loss of Rick. From a kid at the Scarborough Figure Skating Club watching him coach throughout the years to reconnecting in Port Hope during the years I was involved there it was always a pleasure chatting with Rick (and Barb!). My fondest memory is my very first memory of Rick when he guest skated at the SFSC carnival in 1968….I was 8 and was truly amazed when for his encore, after his encore he did what seemed to be 20 double axels in a row as he did not have a third piece of music with him….the crowd went wild. May all your cherished memories wrap you all in a warm hug and put a lasting smile on your faces and in your hearts. Rest easy Rick and go do some double axels in heaven. Suzanne
