Sorry to hear Josef, has passed, He was a hard working man. I had got to know him, over the years, he would buy grain from My father, when we were in the days of dairy farming. RIP Josef.

Dear Helen, Rick and families. We are so sad to hear of Joe's passing. We were blessed to know Joe and enjoyed many years socializing as a neighbour and friend . Joe was always ready to help his neighbours and was very much appreciated. We will miss him.

Michael Beech - March 27, 2026

I offer my sincere condolences to son Rick and to Helen upon hearing of Joe's passing. I knew Joe for a long time off and on over the years, beginning back in the 1970s when he had sheep on the big farm. Joe was a very industrious guy and he always impressed me with his hard work and great common sense. We will remember him well.

Sally Rohde - March 22, 2026

Helen - My sincere condolences to you & family. You were a devoted caregiver to this kind, discipled & smart man. He worked for me many years pruning & cutting down trees, taking away big piles of brush in his old truck...always started at 7 a.m. He was an absolute Wizard with a Chain Saw. May he now rest in peace! A donation will be made to the Northumberland Land Trust in his memory.

Hal & Jenny Allison - March 21, 2026

Dear Helen I am so very sorry to learn of Joe's passing. He was so lovingly well cared for by you all these year. I enjoyed seeing Joe at Extendicare as he enjoyed his daily walks up and down the hallway and will miss seeing you both. Especially that big smile of his. Although you will miss Joe immensely know he is now at peace and no longer suffering. Sending you big hugs. Condolences to Joe's family also I am sorry for your loss.

Bob Stebeleski - March 19, 2026

I first met Joe when he pulled my car from a snowbank on Findlay Rd. We became friends and he helped me so much with improving a country property next to his. Joe was a whiz with the chainsaw and had a strong work ethic. His spirit will be forever intertwined with the trees on his property that were so dear to his heart. He was warm and kind-the world would be a much better place with more Joe Mihelcics.

Joe you were a very special friend to so many of us. I had the pleasure of knowing you since 1975. You helped our parents for many years which we all thank you. Rest in peace Joe.

Jennifer Darrell - March 18, 2026

So sorry to hear of Joe's passing but am relieved for him, Helen and his family. Joe made it possible for my late husband Rod and I to live in the country. He was so willing to help with anything; so very resourceful in finding solutions for any problem; like a monkey climbing any tree and so knowledgeable about trees - I think 1/2 the trees in the County were planted by Joe; tried so many things, creating things out of nothing including building property out of old gravel pits; took so much refuse from our place after clearing the bush. I could go on but many others will already know all of these things. May he rest in peace.
