Paul Charles Hicks – Passed away suddenly on Friday March 13th, 2026 at Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg in his 70th year.
Paul was the beloved husband of Marlene Hicks (nee Taylor) for 49 years. Cherished father to Paul Hicks (Kerri) and grandfather to Lynsey and Braden.
Loving brother to Kathy Anderson(Doug), Peter Hicks (late Rose), Theresa Doria(Joe), Judy Hood(late Rob). Predeceased by his brother Hector and his parents Peter and Iva Hicks.
He is also remembered by his nieces and nephews- Carrie(Stu), Peter(Tracy), Gregory(Stacy), Jennifer(Loren), Cristina(Danilo) Chris(Megan), Jonathan, Cassandra, Bradley and many great nieces and nephews.
Paul loved the simple pleasures in life- his family, classic cars, hunting and fishing, which brought him endless enjoyment over the years.
In keeping with Paul’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal visitation or service.
If desired, memorial donations to Northumberland Hills Hospital Dialysis Unit would be appreciated by the family.

Marlene, Paul Jr. and family...I'm so very sorry to hear of Paul's passing. Paul was a great neighbour growing up and I remember well his love for music (he liked the Beatles loud😉). Paul was a great man with a great sense of humour, and was deeply proud of his family. Hugs to you Marlene and Paul Jr. Rest easy Paulie.

Condolence to all the family. I had the pleasure of meeting Paul at several car shows in passing as well as becoming a really good friend at the dialysis unit. His generosity was shown in many ways and his loving heart will live on forever Godspeed, my friend.

I grew up living near Paul and his wonderful family in Campbellford. I enjoyed many fun hours with Paul and Theresa. The three of us were inseparable. I am sad that he has left, but feel at peace he is with loved ones. Rest easy Paul.

I enjoyed talking with Paul about his cars and his weekend plans, while he was on Dialysis...we had lots of laughs and also chats about fishing all of which I knew very little about. He was a happy guy with a smile every day .my condolences to his family
My condolences to the whole Hicks family on such a big loss. Paul was a great guy and awesome friend and I will definitely miss him. Coffee nights & cruise nights won’t be the same without him. It was a honour to know Paul and to say we were friends. Rest in paradise my friend
