John Bloye Bickle passed away on March 9th 2026 at Northumberland Hills Hospital following a lengthy and arduous battle with cancer. He fought boldly and bravely, defying the limited time allotted to him, like the true legend that he was. John waits on the other side for the love of his life, Alice ā his wife of over 40 years.
John leaves behind his sons David Pidgeon (Nina) and Phillip Bickle. Predeceased by his parents, Howard and Dorrie Bickle. John was the dear brother of Bob (deceased), Ray (deceased), Bill, Woodie (deceased), Stephanie (George), Stephen (Georgie), Deborah (Tullio), David, Terri (Scott), and Brian (Angela). Brother-in-law to Elizabeth (Chip) (deceased), Robert (deceased) (Joan), Larry (Muriel), Clayton (Nadine) (deceased), Dorothy (deceased), Joan (Bob), Doug (Brenda-deceased). Loving Grandpa to Darien and Cameron Pidgeon, and Great Grandpa to Dylan. John is survived by many nieces and nephews that will miss him greatly.
A shining pillar of the community, a brilliant friend to many, and a radiant presence to all who knew him, John has left the world a little dimmer with his departure. We were all so very blessed to have known him.
Service to be held on March 21st 2026. Gathering at 11am, service to begin at 11:30am at the Calvary Pentecostal Church, 401 Croft Street, Port Hope. In lieu of flowers, donations to Northumberland Hills Hospital in memory of John would be greatly appreciated.
