Jamie and his immediate family was definitely a big part of my life in those years. Our depot community was very close. Barb was soon warmly welcomed to the family. I often remember those days with a smile, just 60+ years ago. Time goes by so quick, the precious memories last forever. Rest in Peace Barb & Jamie.

So very sad to hear this news of the passing of Jamie and Barb. They were lifelong friends and will be dearly missed by so many. Jamie and I go way back in time growing up together at the Depot. Jamie was the first person I met when we came back from overseas and our friendship never waned. I realize we didn’t get to see each other very much over the last number of years but Jamie and Barb were never far from our minds. My wife Jo-Ann and Barb became very closing friends, they talked for hours the very first time they met. They had a lot in common. I remembered Jamie trying to convert my boys Jordan and Marshall into becoming Montreal Canadians fans and it almost worked, they were young and impressionable. I finally talked some sense into them and they saw the light. Barb loved fishing and whenever I went for speckled trout she would want to come along. I’d say OK, get your rubber boots on, let’s go. I have so many fond memories and laughs of her and I walking those creeks north of Cobourg around Roseneath and Burnley. I could go on and on with so many treasured memories. Our sincerest condolences and heartfelt prayers to the boys Rob and Chris and to all of the family. R.I.P. JAMIE & BARB…you will never be forgotten. The Mathews family.

I never Jamie and Barb Doncaster. But I once met their son Rob and his wife Joy. I also met Jamie's sister Donna Gelineau. The family are distant relations of mine back in Sydney, Cape Breton thru the late Ethel (MacInnis) Doncaster. My deepest condolences go out to their loved ones.

Rob and Chris…so sad to hear of your Dad and Mom passing…they lived at the depot for many years and Jamie liked to sit on the back step in the nice weather like most neighbours…and always took the time to say hello…and made great chicken fried rice…and a dedicated Montreal fan as is Carl so they had many conversations about the habs…Barb was a little more quiet than Jamie but always spoke to neighbours also and when ever you would run into her….she enjoyed the computer and would ask Jeremy for help when needed…we have also been at the ghetto for many years and will miss them both from across the way…keep you memories close to you heart and tell their stories often…The Kessler’s at 457!
