Robert James and Barbara Lynn Doncaster

ROBERT JAMES DONCASTER October 18, 1947 - February 18, 2026
James (Jamie) passed away at the Northumberland Hills hospital on February 18, 2026 in his 78th year, after complications from pneumonia.

BARBARA LYNN DONCASTER (HILL) July 26, 1951 - February 22, 2026
Barb passed away at home on February 22, 2026 in her 74th year, after a prolonged illness.

Jamie and Barb are survived by their beloved sons Rob "Donx" (Joy) and Chris, also their cherished granddaughters Cloe and Callie.

Jamie is predeceased by his parents Vernon and Ethel Doncaster.

Barb is predeceased by her parents Archie Maracle and Dorothy Hill.

They are loving remembered by Jamie's sister Donna (Jack), brothers Ronald 'Butch'
(Rosemary) and George (Lennie deceased) and Barb's sisters Carol (Dave) and Sheila
(Mike deceased) and brother Brian. They also leave behind many wonderful nieces and nephews.

Jamie retired from Cameco and became an avid golfer, squash player, bike rider and he could often be seen working out at the Y. He was never one to sit idle and he had an extraordinary gift for conversation with anyone he met. His friends were very important to him and he cherished every minute being with the ones he loved.

Barb was a homemaker and loved her fishing, football and the Blue Jays. She was often in front of the tv watching her sports and didn't want to be interrupted unless it was one of her boys.

We take pleasure in knowing they are together, but they will be missed beyond measure.

As per Jamie and Barb's wishes there will be no service and no Celebration of Life.

In lieu of flowers a memorial donation can be made to the charity of your choice.

Rob and Chris…so sad to hear of your Dad and Mom passing…they lived at the depot for many years and Jamie liked to sit on the back step in the nice weather like most neighbours…and always took the time to say hello…and made great chicken fried rice…and a dedicated Montreal fan as is Carl so they had many conversations about the habs…Barb was a little more quiet than Jamie but always spoke to neighbours also and when ever you would run into her….she enjoyed the computer and would ask Jeremy for help when needed…we have also been at the ghetto for many years and will miss them both from across the way…keep you memories close to you heart and tell their stories often…The Kessler’s at 457!
