It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our loving mother Patricia in her 98th year at Extendicare Port Hope. Beloved wife of Victor (predeceased), daughter of Dorothy and Sydney Underwood and proud Mother of Nicholas (Linda), Lynda, Jane (Randall) and Cheryl (John).
Dear Grandmother of Christopher, Sarah, Jordan, Elizabeth, Leah, Jennifer and Ryan (predeceased) Great Grandmother of 7 grandchildren.
Mum and Dad immigrated to Canada from England in 1955 determined for a better life after surviving the Second World War. Mum’s strong will was her guiding light throughout her life. She loved music, reading, the theatre, the Royal Winter Fair, travel, and gardening.
We would like to express our thanks to the staff of Extendicare Port Hope and to Dr Haunts, Dr Essak for their support and compassionate care of Mum during her years at the home.
A private celebration of life will be held. In lieu of flowers donations would be appreciated to Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice Care Centre.
Our deep condolences to you Lynda. We know how close you were to your mum.

Dear Nicholas, Lynda, Jane and Cheryl, Richard and I were so very sorry to hear about the passing of Auntie Pat. It definitely marks the end of an era for our Spearen family.
