Barbara Larkman

September 26, 1944 - February 3, 2026

After a short stay at Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice Care Centre, Barbara Larkman quietly passed away in the early hours of February 3rd, with her daughters Nicole (Hugh) and Heidi (Jeff) by her side.

She will be missed by her daughters, grandsons Bryn and Ryan, her sisters Vivienne (Larry) and Karen (Siggy) as well as her nieces, nephews, and friends. She can now join her beloved husband, David, who passed away peacefully three weeks earlier.

The family would like to extend their thanks and gratitude for the wonderful care provided to Barbara by Dr. Xi and Dr. Sabatini, Lynn Ladelle, who provided emotional and spiritual support, and to everyone at Ed’s House for providing care and support to Barbara and her entire family. Everyone there, nurses, PSW’s, administration, support staff, and volunteers, created a caring and supportive space, and for that, the family is forever grateful.

Cremation has already taken place, but a service to celebrate Barbara’s life will be held for family and friends in the spring this year.

Barbara was such a wonderful, kind big sister. From earliest memories of our home in England with our parents and into our senior years, she was always there for me and my family, a very special aunt to our children. She was so creative and always working on a project or two, often to give to others. Will always miss her and offer my sincere condolences to all her family.
