Passed away peacefully at Hope Street Terrace, Port Hope, on Friday February 6, 2026 at the age of 84. Beloved husband of the late Marian (nee Roberts). Loving father of Brad (Nicki) and Julie (Morgan). Proud Papa of Alex (Carly), Tyrus, Darah and Calder. Loving brother of the late Katherine, the late Shirley, the late Mabel, the late Fay and the late Howard. Remembered by his many nieces, nephews and friends. John’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the 2nd floor staff at Hope Street Terrace. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 30, or a charity of your choice.
A Celebration Of Life will be held at the Port Hope Lion's Club, 29 Thomas Street, Port Hope, on Saturday February 28, 2026 from 1:00pm - 5:00pm.

Dear Brad and Julie, I met John at Hope Street Terrace while visiting our mother. Once we discovered that we both lived in Baltimore we would chat occasionally about different people we knew and about his shop on 45. I worked with Johnny at Hockin Real Estate for 20 years, We were good friends and had lots of fun pulling pranks but still got the job done... He will be sadly missed
Many good memories of years working with John at Ken Hockin Real Estate. On our weekly country house tours he always knew the location of the best butter tarts which we loved. My condolences to Brad & Julie & their families. 💙
I am so sorry to hear the passing of John Bull !!! He was a great man and a great guy to have conversations with and he always had a smile on his face . I was his housekeeper sometimes on second floor. “John had a big love for bacon “ take care until we met again

As a Brother in law, Uncle Ray and I certainly had the best! John was honest, dependable, generous and fun to be with. We enjoyed so many trips and adventures with he and Marian over the years. He was the big brother I never had. Rest in Peace dear John. You and Marian are finally together again.
