Sandra Ann Peters

June 14, 1945 - April 4, 2025

Once in the hands of fate
There is no choice
An echo on the wind
You’ll hear my voice”

The family of the late Ann Peters are sad to announce the passing of Ann Peters on April 4th, 2025, at the age of 79, near the town of Cobourg. Ann was predeceased by her husband Bill Peters, parents Harry Rossiter and Doreen Rossiter (nee Butcher). Ann is survived by her sons Adam (Rona-Jo) and Chad (Susan), and her grandchildren Brice, Hugh, Gregory, Hayden and Maisy.

Ann was born on June 14th, 1945 in Bournemouth, England and as a young girl emigrated, with her family to Canada.

Ann enjoyed travel with her husband Bill, mostly to someplace warm to take a break from the cold winter weather. Ann was an avid reader and shared most of her books with family and then the local secondhand bookstore.

Over the years Ann and husband Bill tackled many home improvement projects, the largest of which had to be building their own home.

Ann tried her hand at many activities from string art, crocheting, knitting, sewing family clothes, gardening, and making preserves, but the one that she had a real passion for was genealogy. Through her research she was able to take the family history back generations and even self-published a few books detailing the history of several branches of the family.

In keeping with Ann’s wishes a private family ceremony has taken place.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Dr. Cameron for his care and compassion.
