David "Troy" Collins

September 7, 1966 - January 8, 2026

A fighter until the end, David Troy Collins, born September 7, 1966, passed away at home on January 8, 2026 surrounded by the family he loved fiercely.

Son of the late Donna Rose Collins (Milne) and David Arnold Collins. Older brother to Bradley John Collins and Dana-Lyn Teresa Lepard (Collins).

Enduring partner, presence and friend to Allison Smith, the anchor through each of his 'nine lives'.

Devoted father to David Collins (Stephanie) Steven Collins (Shelby) Christopher Collins (Jocelynne) and Lindsay Smith (Alan).

Adoring grandfather to his many grandchildren: Shayla, Hudson, Zachary, Evelyn, Hailey, Asher, Brooklyn, Isla, Cecilia and Lockelan.

Best friend to Claude Boulanger, Troy's sidekick and partner in crime.

As a proud father, dedicated hockey coach and amazing fisherman, he taught his boys about hard work and resilience.

A natural born salesman and resourceful business owner, Troy was a straight shooter, and always ready to charm everyone with a joke and a laugh.

He had a lifelong love of horses, spending many years riding and raising them. Whether boating, golfing or spending time at the trailer, Troy taught us all to live in the moment.

His family is grateful for the exceptional care from Dr. Iris Noland, Northumberland Paramedics, and St. Elizabeth nursing staff.

Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Sunday, January 18th at MacCoubrey Funeral Home in Colborne 11 King St W, Colborne. Celebration of Life to follow at Keeler Centre, 80 Division St, Colborne. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the organization of your choice.
