Peacefully on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg, surrounded by her family, in her 68th year. Beloved partner of 38 years Ken Fitchett. Loving mother of Amanda (Lucas Harvey) Parker, Douglas Parker and step-mother of Melanie (Erik) Jensen and Cherlee Fitchett. Cherished grandmother of Abigail Harvey, Tristan Harvey and step-grandmother of Emily (Joachim) Fitchett, Jessica (John) McGowan, Kiersten McGowan, Katelyn (Matt) Jensen and Erika (David) Jensen. Daughter of Thomas and Donna (nee James) Strachan. Sister of Robert (Tracey) Strachan, the late Brent Strachan, Sherry (Ray) Marriott and the late Stephen. Cindy will be fondly remembered by her seven great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and friends. She will be sadly missed by Charlie and Little Girl. A celebration of Cindy’s Life will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026 from 1 – 4 p.m. at MacCoubrey Funeral Home 11 King Street West Colborne. Donations to Colborne Community Care or Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
