He was born on May 2, 1954, in Port Hope, Ontario, to Howard and Peggy (Rhines) Sanders. Randy led a life filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew him.
He was a devoted husband to Debra, who stood by his side through thick and thin, and together they created a warm, loving home.
He is survived by his two children, Derek (Cheryl) and Alyssa (Andy) and his stepchildren, Amy (Nate) and Adam (Amy) who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts. Randy was also a proud grandfather to: Makayla, Kayleigh, Jaylynn, Maisie, and Hattie. Randy was also a step-grandfather to Keegan.
Randy was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Howard and Peggy and his brother, Ray (Paula). He also leaves behind his brothers Zeke, Paul (Leslie), and Barry (Darlene, predeceased), as well as sister Susan. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, friends, and in-laws, all of whom were touched by his gentle spirit and the kindness.

I had the pleasure to know Randy when he worked for Belden. He was a customer and eventually became a good friend. We had a lot of fun times playing golf over the years. As written, he had the ability to tease and share his dry sense of humour which everyone loved and no one was offended. He was Gentleman and I will truly miss him.

When we moved to a new neighbourhood we didn’t realize we would be making friends for life. Our kids grew up providing Randy with endless road hockey entertainment and my husband gave him a run for who had the cleanest car. We will miss the endless Blackhawks/Maple Leaf bantering between our daughter and Randy. Our deepest condolences to Debbie and family.
Rosie and I wish to express our most sincere condolences to the Sanders and their extended families. As it seems in a lot of cases , gone too young. Dave and Rosie

It is with great sadness we learned of Randy’s passing . Many wonderful memories of golfing in Myrtle Beach and dinners at our respective homes. A good golfer and one eager to participate in the competitive banter with Deb and any other person foolish enough to challenge him at their peril. An accomplished conversationalist who contributed with not only his wit and knowledge but also his caring and understanding of those less fortunate. The dry acerbic humour and the accompanying twinkle in his eyes leaves us with a deeply felt sense of loss but also a feeling of gratification that we were able to share with him part of his life’s journey. He will be sorely missed. Our hearts go out to Deb in this trying time.
