Dear Colin, Neil, Eilidh, and grandson Wilfie, Like many people, I met Elisabeth during our association with the Cobourg Camera Club. She was always pushing the envelope to enhance her photos. She had a real eye for beauty while taking photos and she excelled in macro photography. She also took pride in her home and beautifully landscaped property. She was extremely proud of her grandson, Wilfie, and his accomplishments, particularly cricket! She will be missed by her many friends and acquaintances. Sincere condolences to her entire family. Elisabeth Mary La Fontaine December 4, 1940 - December 18, 2025 "Rest In Peace"
For Elisabeth's family, I knew Elisabeth through the photography club. She was our president for a term, and she shared responsibility (with myself and others) creating the club newsletter for awhile. I remember we met under the tent in her beautiful garden, not far from the interesting bird feeder. She also shared knowledge in workshops, in her home and garden, and off-site. She had a lovely voice and enjoyed a good natter with a friend!

I would thank Elisabeth for introducing my wife, Raine, to Rutledge Jewellers. They shared a common interest in fine jewellery and made many happy trips to Uxbridge over the years. Almost always returned poorer but with big smiles. I hope they have found each other and are together again on their next adventure.
To Elisabeths family I am so sorry to hear of your moms passing. I knew her thru the Grafton Co-op where I work. She was so lovely to chat with and always so kind. We will miss her coming for her cheese and birdseed.
So sorry to hear of Elizabeth’s passing. I knew her in the Grafton Garden Club. We shared a love of gardening and exchanged flowers from our gardens. She was a most interesting lady who had many artistic talents. She will be missed.
So sorry to hear of Elizabeth’s passing. She was a lovely lady who shared a love of photography. I will miss our photo shoots and creating images. She will be missed by many. Sending much love to Elizabeth’s family.
My dear friend it is tough to learn of your passing 🙏😔 we bumped into each other in a supermarket a few months back and agreed to set a date to catch up. Then your were on my mind a few days ago and I intended to stop by your home. Now I find out you’d already passed away 🥺🥺🥺 and on my daughters birthday too.... I wish we could have had another get together after all this time. You were my very first contact with Toastmasters here, we spoke on the phone and you told me there was a meeting that night at Victoria Retirement Residence. An ice storm was under way but I drove out anyway as did you and others . Our British accents weee magnetic lol and we hit it off right away . Soon after you took a liking to my photography and asked me to take photos of your cat ... My heart is heavy my sweet friend I’m so sorry you’re gone 🙏😔 May you Rest In Peace ☮️
Elisabeth introduced me to the Northumberland Photography Club, for which I was very grateful. I remember Elisabeth for her love of, and gift for flower and macro photography and always looked forward to seeing her photos. She also had such a wonderful flower garden, garden that I used to love wandering through. My condolences to her family
My personal memories of her remain strong, of a very persistent woman and someone of wit, intelligence, energy and compassion. The perfect package of a human being. She'll be happy I used a semicolon in these remarks; she was always a fan of those. We'll all miss her dearly, and my condolences to family and friends alike. I hope her art continues to inspire many people for years to come.
I knew Elisabeth through our love of photography. She was so smart and creative. She will be missed. Sweet dreams.
Elisabeth was a dear friend of my mother (Carol). Elisabeth had a talent with photography and enjoyed trying to capture the beauty and high energy of our dogs and grand children. I think her most interesting pictures were of the little white spiders she found in her garden. Condolences to her family and friends.

Elisabeth will be missed by her many friends. I have always admired her ability to stay independent, voice and eventually accept the difficulties that arose in her life, stay curious about the things that she loved to do, and ask for help when she needed it. She deeply loved and was very proud of her family.
My deepest sympathies to Elisabeth's friends and family. Elisabeth will be missed.
