Margaret Crinean Calder

October 3, 1938 - December 27, 2025

CALDER, Margaret (nee Sharp) - Peacefully, on Saturday, December 27th, 2025 surrounded by her loving family at Northumberland Hills Hospital at the age of 87. Beloved wife of the late Alex (Ronnie) and cherished mother of Alex (Jackie), Jean, Ken, Wilma (Ron), Heather (John) and Darlene. Beloved grandmother to Lesley, Craig, Terri (Scott), Heather, Emma, Makayla (Steven), Mariah (Tyler), Ethan, Cameron, Robert (Shauney), Trish (Riley) and great grandmother to nine. Loving sister to the late Wilma (Sam) and Jean (Howard). Margaret will be missed by many extended family and friends in both Canada and Scotland. Margaret was the face of Calder’s Meats in Grafton for 21 years before retiring and keeping in touch with lifelong customers turned friends. She will be dearly missed by all.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 24th at the Grafton Legion from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.

To the Calder family, I offer my sincere condolences on the passing of Mrs. Calder. Our family knew yours from the days of Calder's Meats in Grafton and later at the original Fisher's in Cobourg. And my mother knew a lot of the family members from her days at Grafton Public School. More recently. The Cobourg Legion Pipe Bamd would pause in front of Mrs. Calder's house in Grafton to serenade her during our parades. We will all miss her.

Dear Calder family, please accept my heartfelt condolences. I have many warm memories of shopping at Calders. Marg always had a warm greeting, and remembered our meat preferences. She also remembered our kids names and usually asked about each of them. It was a real treat to go to Calders! I remember how Marg looked forward to the Norwood fair!
