He was a longtime member of the Barbershop Harmony Society and saw music as an expression of the joys of life. Peter was a longtime parishioner of St. Peter’s Anglican Church in Cobourg.
The family wishes to extend warm thanks to the staff at the palliative unit at Northumberland Hills Hospital and Ed’s House in Cobourg for their care during Peter’s illness.

Mr. Chrisomalis was a kind and caring principal. He always did what was best for the students and made a lasting impact. He will be missed.
Bev, Stephen, Michael and families. My heart breaks for you with the loss of your dad. He was loving, caring, and larger than life. I respected him, so much so that I followed him from one school to another. We challenged each other with word games and puzzles….well, he challenged ME-he was far above my abilities. I was saddened when he shared that he was ready to move on to the next journey. I will never forget him! May your memories sustain you through all the difficult times ahead. Rest in peace, my friend.
I knew Peter when he was the principal at Percy Centennial P.S. in Warkworth. He was supportive to the teachers and, somehow, seemed to know every student by name. May loving memories of him sustain you in the days ahead.
Dear Bev, so very sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your families at this sad time. Sincerely Linda Flindall.

Peter was a wonderful person and a great friend for 40 years. He had a wonderful voice and we loved to sing . I am sure Reg and he will have a laugh or two when they meet again. My sincere condolences to all the family.
Bev, so sorry to hear of Peter’s passing. Hold the memories close.
To Bev and Peter's family and friends... I was saddened to learn of Peter's passing today. During my 35+ years living and working in Cobourg I had the pleasure of knowing Bev (largely through my regular appearances at Ready Print), and through her getting to know Peter, whose reputation as an excellent, dedicated educator was already widely established. He was a pleasure to know, and to talk to, even if only a brief conversation on a busy streetcorner. And any lover of singing is a step above in my book. He will be missed. Brad Halls - Fergus, Ontario (formerly of Cobourg)
Bev, Stephen, and Michael, Peter was an excellent educator and an even better person. A man who loved words and puzzles. He was always eager for a challenge. I thoroughly enjoyed having Peter as the principal at Baltimore Public School. He was a very engaging person who was prolific on a number of topics. Recently, I was pleased he joined the Baltimore alumni at the Best Western for a social gathering. It was a great opportunity to share a few laughs. We're all going to miss him dearly. Sincere condolences to the entire family. Peter George Chrisomalis September 28, 1942 - December 16, 2025 "Rest in Peace"
