October 9, 1955 - December 10, 2025

Passed away peacefully at the Toronto General Hospital with his family by his side on Wednesday December 10th, 2025 at the age of 70.
Born in Bethel, New Brunswick October 9th, 1955, he is the son of the late Roseline and Alyre Gallant. Son in law of the late Sybil Hicks (nee May). A loving husband for 51 years to Reta “Carol” Louise (nee Laird). Devoted father to Michelle Wilde (Ronald), Ronald (Heather) and Thomas (Theresa). Best Grandfather ever to Jordan, Joshua and Jasmine Wilde, Logan and Kaeli Gallant. Brother to Gordon, Claudia DeWolfe (James), Wilfred (Helen), Michael (Diane), the late Sandra Nickerson (Arthur), the late Robert (Grace) and the late Stephen (Joyce). Brother in law to Roger Laird, Rodney Laird, Roberta “Nancy” Tripp and the late Rose Dempsey. Ron devoted his time to his grandchildren, playing baseball or Monday night darts. His favourite enjoyment was his annual vacation in Cayo Coco, Cuba. Ron has been employed at Belden Canada for almost 52 years as a millwright. He will be greatly missed by many friends, family and his fat cats Larry and Maggie May.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name made to any organization of your choice would be appreciated.
