At 93 years of age and after a brief illness at Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg, Ontario, Brian passed away peacefully.
Lovingly remembered by his children, Kelly (Paul), Mike (Kelly), Gregg and Dale, his grandchildren, Dan (Laura), Tyler (Samantha), Alexandra, Luke (Candace), Garett (Sophie) and Abbigail and his great-grandchildren, Chloe, Liam, Max, Quinn and Scotty.
Brian is survived by his partner of 37 years, Grace McLaughlin, her children, Laurel & Peter (Blair) and grandchildren, Kyle (Julianna), Brooklin and Owen.
Brian is predeceased by his parents, Hilda and Frank Hardcastle, the mother of his children, Elizabeth, his daughter-in-law, Lori and his sister Brenda.
Brian was an avid sports fan who devoted many hours to playing and coaching softball and baseball from the days of his youth until he was an oldtimer. He had a varied work experience, Bank of Nova Scotia, Airforce Ontario, Hydro Auditor and Execu-Search but his favourite was President of Balltech for 40 years.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place, there will be no funeral and burial will be in the Spring 2026.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday February 28, 2026 at the Royal Canadian Legion, 21 Charles St. Milton, Ontario 905-878-9005 12pm - 4pm.
Donations to the Northumberland Hills Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
