Ken Jenkins was a kind, dedicated, and hardworking man who never hesitated to help those in need. He was well known within the Northumberland community for his acts of kindness and assistance with pruning and gardening.
He was the happiest when he was working on local farms and orchards, growing his own food, and planting flowers. Ken dedicated many years to feeding the animals and cleaning the grounds at The Big Apple. Kenneth George Jenkins, 74, of Colborne Ontario, passed at Northumberland hills Hospital on December 5th, 2025.
He was raised in Wicklow Ontario by loving parents Stella Thompson and George Jenkins and accompanied by his dear brothers Wayne Jenkins, Gerald Jenkins, and his beloved deceased siblings Linda Jenkins and Paul Jenkins. He was a loving husband to the late Barbara Jenkins.
He is a proud father to his two stepdaughters, Lindsey Eales (husband, Fraser Eales) and Tiffany Fulford. He was a proud Grandfather to his seven grandchildren, Riley Eales, Dylan Eales, Damien Sheldrick, AJ MacLeod, Abigail MacLeod, Skylit MacLeod, and Gavin MacLeod.
Ken cherished his friendships made within the community and his family.
Funeral Service will be held at the MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St. East, Cobourg, Ontario K9A 1K7 on Tuesday December 16th, 2025 at 1pm with visitation one hour prior to service from 12pm -1pm. A Committal/ Graveside Service will follow at the Heritage Cemetery of St. Peter, 890 Ontario St. Cobourg, Ontario K9A 3C6. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to Parkinson Canada.
