Passed away peacefully at Regency Manor with his family by his side in his 90th year. He is now reunited with his beloved wife Carol (nee Brown). He was a devoted father to Brian (Lillian), Robert “Chip” (Carol), Jim (Julie), Carolyn (the late Flynn) and Blaine (Lynda). Proud grandfather of Kristy-Lee, Katie, Miranda, Jade, Zac, Justin, Maggie, Molly, Caileigh, Flynn, Abbie, Emilee and Mira. Great grandfather to Jack, Delaney, Lacee, Kya, Oliver, Hayes and Iris.
He will be fondly remembered by his sister Catherine (Dawe) and the Brown family with whom he shared many wonderful memories.
Dad was an accomplished electrician who worked at MacGregor Electric for many years and developed friendships that lasted a lifetime. He was an avid sportsman and in his later years he enjoyed spending time on the golf course, playing pool at the Cobourg Legion and riding his bicycle.
The family would like to express our sincerest thanks to the wonderful staff at Regency Manor for their exceptional care of our dad.
A private family service will take place at a later date.

I would like to thank each and everyone who sent a condolence and any donations made on behalf of my father. I loved reading all the condolences . They warmed my heart . I was honoured to be his daughter and he is now at rest with the love of his life. RIP dad . I love you !

Brian and Blaine so sorry to hear of your Dad’s passing. I have fond memories of him when I was a teenager playing pool with him at Cortesis Pool Room. He was older than me but always treated me kindly as he was always friendly with a good sense of humour. He made me a better pool player. Cherish your memories of him.

I'm so sorry to hear of Ted's passing. My condolences to all of the Darling families. It was nice to have a visit with Ted a few weeks ago, and I thank you Blaine for keeping me in the loop. I worked with Ted for many years at MacGregor Electric, and he was my main teacher in the residential sector. A hard, honest worker (although he liked his 15 minute nap at noon, lol) and I can't thank him enough for all his patience in teaching a greenhorn like me. I also enjoyed our golf outings later on in life. RIP Ted, give Carol a big hug for me.

I worked with Ted on a fairly large office project at, what was at the time, Kraft Foods. Ted was a great guy, knowledgeable, friendly and reliable. For years after, when we’d see each other on the street, I’d always get a big wave and a nod of recognition. My condolences to his family.

Ted was a tremendously hard worker. If a young helper didn’t measure up to his work ethic, Ted wouldn’t hesitate to take him back to the shop and ask for another.
