It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stanley (Stan) Paul Campbell which occurred at his home in Cobourg, Ontario, 27 November 2025 following an entire lifetime of health challenges that he faced with courage and grace. Stan was born on 14 February 1967 in St. Catharine’s, Ontario. In November 1972, he was adopted by Rev. William Campbell and his wife, Maureen, and became a loved and cherished member of the Campbell family. Stan was always interested in food and cooking. Following graduation from Harrison Trimble High School, Moncton, New Brunswick, he enrolled in the Culinary Arts Program at Moncton Community College. As a new culinary graduate, he accepted the position of cook at The Pentecostal Bible College in Peterborough, Ontario. It was through this college that he met the love of his life, Beth (nee Winsor), and married her on 20 June 1992. Stan was an exemplary husband and taught everyone who knew him more about what it means to “love your wife even as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her” (Ephesians 5:25). He was also a faithful worker throughout his life and particularly enjoyed the last role he had of helping many to open, close and maintain their cottages at the Pentecostal Campgrounds behind his home.
Stan leaves behind his beloved wife, Beth, his siblings, Keith (Gloria), Joan (Jeff) Kingswood, Nancy (Jack) Whytock, David, and Thanh (Teresa) as well as numerous other relatives, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He will also be dearly missed by his father-in-law, Rev. Alvin Winsor, as well as Judy (Randy) Lundrigan (Beth’s birth mother) affectionately known as “his other mother-in-law.” Predeceased by his parents, William and Maureen Campbell, and his mother-in-law, Pat Winsor.
Stan was a joyful Christian man. He lived what he professed and exhibited an amazing simplicity and humility in walking with the Lord. Our dear husband, brother, uncle and friend will be sorely missed. Absent from the body and present with the Lord. All glory to God.
Micah 6:8 “And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”
A graveside service will take place on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Cobourg Union Cemetery.
A celebration of Stan’s life will take place on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at the Church on the Hill (594 Courthouse Dr., Cobourg) at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers people can give to the Canadian Cancer Society or to Lakeshore Pentecostal Camp, where Stan lived and worked diligently helping others.

Stan and I ministered together at the Brock Street Mission back in the 90’s, his joy was infectious and often erupted in dancing. He taught me that life’s hurdles are opportunities. Dear fam. of Stan, I remember Stan as a student at Cambridge Christian School where I was the principal when Stan attended in the early 1980’s. He was an enjoyable student and loved to come into my office and we would chat about various topics. Years later we met up with him in Orangeville at the local market and had him and Beth over for a barbeque. Our condolences to his wife Beth and the rest of the Campbell family. Rest in peace good and faithful servant. Love the Tamming family.
The news of Stan’s passing hurts my heart. I have so many wonderful childhood memories of Stan and the entire Campbell family at Kirkwall church. Countless get-togethers filled with music and really bad “plays” we kids would put on. Wonderful times and such a blessing to have had a childhood like we did. Stan always had the biggest smile and the kindest heart. Our deepest condolences to the entire family. Keeping you all in our prayers, confident that Stan is currently in glory, with a perfect body, free from all the challenges he faced throughout his life. My that certainty bring you peace as you mourn his loss.
Sorry to hear of Stan’s passing. I have known Stan for over 50 years and had a visit with him and Beth at the end of October. Stan was a follower of Jesus and lived his life claiming his love for the Lord and rejoiced in the great things God had done for him. He had a servant’s heart and met each challenge with the Lord’s help. Will be in prayer for you Beth as you mourn the loss of your beloved husband. My love to all the extended family as well. May you find comfort in knowing that Stan is in the presence of Jesus.
