Jean Agnes (Brisbin) Harris

I have such vivid and fond memories of spending summers as a child in Gores Landing, running in and out of Jean’s home with Karen. Her house was a place of warmth, laughter, and welcome, and those days have stayed with me all these years. Through family ties and friendship, she was part of some of my earliest and happiest memories by the lake. My deepest condolences to all who loved her. She will always be remembered with affection.

My sisters and I used to spend time at Gore's Landing visiting my grandparents: Rev. Leonard Smith and Iva Louise Harris Smith and Aunt Helen and other members of the Harris Family. Jean and Ken welcomed my sisters and I at their home and we also enjoyed boating, swimming and waterskiing with her family at Rice Lake. I am sending my prayers and condolences to your family.

My deepest condolences to Wendy, Pauline, Cauline, Karen and all of Jean’s family. Jean contributed so much to the community of Gore’s Landing.

I first knew Jean as the receptionist at Plainville School. Then we often worked together at the Rice Lake Hort. group. It was always a privilege to know such a fine person. She will be missed by many.

Jean was the secretary at Plainville School when I taught kindergarten there. She was one of the loveliest people I have ever met. She was so competent at her job, as well as, caring towards the staff and the students. I have thought of her fondly over the years and hoped she was well. My condolences to her family, you have lost a precious woman.
