Shirley Elaine Delorme

May 13, 1937 - September 27, 2025

Peacefully, surrounded in the love of her family, Shirley Elaine Delorme passed at Ed’s House Hospice Saturday, September 27, 2025 at the age of 88. Shirley is pre-deceased by her late husband, Arthur Phillip Delorme who passed in 1995. Loved mother to Sandra DeLorme, Donna (Randy Weales) DeLorme, Linda (Kevin Collis) DeLorme and pre-deceased by her children Barbara DeLorme and Steven DeLorme. Cherished grandmother of Connie DeLorme, Adam Brooks, Alicia (Danny) Machnik, Aaron (Jennifer) Jones, Matthew (Samantha) DeLorme, Anthony White, Daniel (Katy) DeLorme, and Benjamin White. Great-grandmother of Jordan Brooks, Emma Brooks, Lily Machnik, Emmy Machnik, Donovan Jones, Addison Jones, Brooklyn DeLorme, Madison DeLorme, Vincent White, Nathan White, Dante DeLorme and Tidus DeLorme. Shirley is the daughter of the late Angus and Wilda Crawford and is pre-deceased by her siblings Clinton Crawford, Alan Crawford, Beverly Crawford, Laurine Duggan and Orville Crawford. She will be lovingly missed by her sister Doris Dunbar and sister-in-law Elaine Crawford. Shirley was an avid Blue Jays Fan. Every year she would put on the team jersey, hat and socks for the home game opener. She loved spending time in her garden growing the most beautiful flowers. Most notably roses, peonies and hydrangeas. She could often be found working on a jigsaw puzzle, or viewing her garden. Most importantly, Shirley loved her family. She was exceptionally proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Shirley will continue to live in the hearts of her family. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 4, 2025 at MacCoubrey Funeral Home 30 King Stret East, Cobourg, ON from 1:00 -2:30PM. Family and friends will have the opportunity to pay their respects to Shirley and the family at this time. Following the celebration of life there will be a burial at Cobourg Union Cemetery where Shirley will be laid to rest next to Arthur. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice Care Centre.
