It is with heavy hearts the family of Donald James “Don” Sedgwick announce his peaceful passing at Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice Friday, August 15, 2025 at the age of 83. There is peace in knowing he has been reunited with the love of his life, Bernice Sedgwick (nee Foster) who passed in 2024. He has also been reunited with his son, Marc who only just passed in March 2025. Don is the cherished father to Bryce (Michelle) Sedgwick. Don was a proud member of the Odd Fellows for 40 years and Bernice was a dedicated Rebekah. Together, they spent their time submersing themselves in community involvement, charity and enjoyed many activities with their fellow members. Don, was a devoted and life time fan of the Toronto Blue Jays and even in his final days, spent his time cheering for his team. He was a good man and the foundation to his family. He will be deeply missed. Don’s family wish to extend their sincere thanks and gratitude to the staff at Ed’s House Hospice as well as to JP Hobart for the kind, compassionate care they offered. As per Don’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice Care Centre.

I am a member of the Coborg Lodge3 and knoew Don for over 40 years. He was what a Odd Fellow stood for. He did his duties and was always avaialble to help when asked. He will be missed.

Bryce and Michelle. My thoughts go out to you both. Don was a great "Brother" to me at the Odd Fellows Cobourg. I learned from him when I joined the group and had fun working with Don at some of the Bingos. I was always able to get a few laughs out of him. He never knew what I might say which kept him on his toes. We lost a good Man.
