To Marilyn’s Family I send you my prayers and sincere condolences. I had the privilege of having one last conversation thanks to Yvonne for making it possible on Marilyn’s 87th birthday. Our parting words were I love you to each other which our friendship held a lot of love of two long time friends. I met Marilyn when we worked at Town and Country woman’s fashion. We shared a lot of tales over the years since, on every Birthday and Christmas. I’ll miss those hour plus long conversations. RIP my dear friend. Always in my heart never forgotten.
Marilyn will be missed by all that knew her. I was her neighbour when Mottershed lived at the jail. Always had time to chat and tell stories when we were neighbours. Alanna Dingman
Mom and I join you in mourning the loss of Marilyn. We didn't see her often but her bright smile and infectious laughter brought joy. Our condolences to you and the family.
Oh Marilyn! It was so wonderful to know you! Her laugh was infectious. Being one of the four friends that grew up together was so special. She came in to our family home on Division St. with giggles and laughter as she poked with a shove to your arm and laughter with a silly comment. Later I would meet up with her at the laundry mat and she always asked me about my boys that are grown up. She always asked how you were before herself. Going to be missed and sending prayers to you and her families.
Mom and I will surely miss her smile and laughter. We didn't see her often but when we did she shone bright.
I’m so sorry to hear about Marilyn. She was one great lady. You always knew you were going to get a smile and have a good laugh. She worked with my mom Ruth Holland for many years at Stanley’s and I’m sure she’ll be missed by everyone.
Yvonne and family. Marilyn was a legend on King Street. She knew everyone and was always ready to have a good time. We have lost a beautiful lady.
Thinking of the family at this time. Having known Marilyn for many years from Garner's Flowers Shop; her presence in shops on the main street of Cobourg and The Buttermilk Cafe, I remember her as always having a smile and cheery word. She had a positive attitude that was infectious. Rest in Peace. Linda Cable Marr
