Stephen will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his wife and partner of many years, Linda (nee Dennie) and his children, Melisa Cormier, Stephen Dennie, Michael (Amber McEwan) Reid, and the late Christopher Reid. Stephen is also survived by a large extended family and friends who held him dear.
Born and raised in Stephenville, Newfoundland, Stephen’s adventurous spirit led him across Canada and the United States. Along the way, he collected stories that spoke to his free-spirited nature and love for life. His kind and generous heart touched all who knew him, and his legacy of warmth, laughter, and love will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the caring and compassionate staff at the Northumberland Hills Hospital ICU and Palliative Unit. In keeping with Stephen’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
