Timothy Patrick Post

January 14, 1941 - June 11, 2025

Peacefully at Ed’s House with Nancy by his side. Pre-deceased by parents Betty and Irv. Survived by sister Wendy Forrest and brother Chuck Post (Donna), nieces and nephews. Tim was smart, funny, hugely good-natured and optimistic. A proud graduate of Colborne High School, Colborne Councillor, library regular and animal lover. Skilled amateur poker player and professional procrastinator. During his many years as a Real Estate Broker, Tim dealt primarily in honesty, sometimes to his own detriment. Tim couldn’t wield a hammer with much success but could write and deliver a reunion speech that would have his audience reaching for their hankies. At Tim’s request there will be no service. Donations can be made to your favourite animal charity or rescue.

We are so sorry to hear this sad news Nancy.

Mary Mouse Checkley Ainsworth - June 13, 2025

Nancy and families, please accept my condolences on your loss of Tim. He was such a good and generous man and I will always remember "Cliff" from our pub days. And all the help he gave Curly and I either for ball, cards, Irish Road Bowling or just our regular shenanigans. RIP my good friend.

Mary Norton - June 13, 2025

Dear Nancy and family - our sincere and deep condolences on the loss of Tim. You know, libraries welcome their patrons and we love to see all of them come in the door, but some just have a larger footprint than others. "Tim" was a large footprint and every time he came and visited the Colborne library he brightened our day. Tim has always been one of those positive people who just make us feel good and of course we always welcomed his corny jokes too. He will be sorely missed by his community. Mary Norton and all the staff at Colborne Library

Tom and Linda Philp - June 13, 2025

Dear Nancy, Chuck and Wendy. I didn't know Tim while growing up in Colborne, although Irv and Betty ran a grocery store next to my Dad's business, and they were frequent guests in our home. Chuck and Wendy were peers. That changed when we moved back to Colborne a couple of decades ago, and we became good friends with Tim and Nancy. I particularly enjoyed having spirited conversations with Tim, in his office, about every conceivable subject, where other friends and neighbours would drop in unannounced and join us for coffee and good gossip! And it was always time spent well. You led a full life, Tim. It was a privilege to know you.

Lynne Heeney - June 13, 2025

So sorry to hear about Tim. Even though I didn’t know him he sounds like a wonderful person who cared for others and his community. His spirit will live on. Thinking of you Chuck.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Tim. I have many fond memories of growing up with the Post family. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this sad difficult time.

Bill Metcalf - June 12, 2025

I am sorry to hear about Tim's death. I was at Colborne High School with Tim and his sister, Wendy Post. I remember Tim playing on our football team. He was enough older than me that I never got to know him all that well - but always liked him. Wendy was closer to my age and I very much liked her - a lovely, funny person. I also remember their shop. All the best for your next trip, Tim. Bill

Dearest Nancy, we are so sorry for the loss of Tim. He was certainly the loving topic of our morning chats at the school crossing. I miss those days so much. I miss Tim and I sure miss you too. We were Pinky and The Brain. Tim made us laugh so much by using the town hall elevator and it would get stuck every single time. We were serious, we were fun, we were together, when we were young.

George and Susie Boycott - June 12, 2025

Nancy, we are so sorry to hear that Tim has left the building! He served alongside me on the village council for many years as a colleague and a friend. He was always forthright in opinion, quick witted, smart, and funny as hell. His views mostly mirrored my own and were therefore always pretty near perfect! It was an absolute pleasure to work with him. I also remember our real estate days over thirty-five years. Tim and Nancy ran their company while Susie and I ran ours. We called each other for guidance on occasion and coverage when Tim needed a Las Vegas side bar! We had a special relationship, I trusted him and he trusted me. We are left with a lot of great memories . Farewell my friend.......

Jane and Roger Whaley - June 12, 2025

Condolences to Nancy and Tim’s family. I knew Tim from his real estate days and he was great to work with- a colleague I could call on if needed to ask a question. Honesty and strong work ethics made him a great realtor to work with!! Rest in peace Tim
