It is with heavy hearts we share that on June 1, 2025, at the age of 90, Beulah McCoy passed away peacefully in her sleep at Extendicare Port Hope.
Beulah was predeceased by her beloved husband Donald McCoy in 2002. She will be greatly missed by her four children Sue (Andy Sherwin), Steve (Chris Harris), Eric (Judy McCoy), and Janet (Rod Chrysler) and her adoring grandchildren Jamie, Alex and Megan, Natalie (Colten, and great grandson Finn), Jacob and Kathryn, and Ray, John and Scott. Beulah is also survived by her dear sisters Barb (the late Manfred Wacker) and Wilma (Jim Dolan), sister-in-law Dorothy Marner (the late Robert Marner), and many nieces and nephews.
After earning her teachers’ degree in Peterborough in 1957, Beulah dedicated over 30 years to teaching, a career that spanned from a one room school house in Madoc, to elementary classrooms in Scarborough, to being a well-known supply teacher in the Cobourg area. She will be remembered by many students for her commitment to education and kindness in the classroom.
Beulah found happiness in everyday moments, making memories with her grandchildren, attending to her gardens, and sharing stories over meals she lovingly prepared. Living in Cobourg for over 45 years, Beulah enjoyed gathering at local coffee shops downtown with friends. A visit with Beulah was guaranteed to include delicious baked goods over a cup of tea and carefully packaged jars of homemade preserves to enjoy later.
We invite family and friends to join us in a celebration of life at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King Street East Cobourg, on Sunday, June 15, 2025, from 1:00 - 4:00 pm with words of remembrance at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada or Northumberland Hills Hospital Foundation.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Extendicare Port Hope for taking such good care of Beulah these past few years. We are forever grateful for your kindness and dedication to her care.

Dear Janet, Rod, John and the entire McCoy Family, I would often see your mom at 66 King Street and we'd talk about old times and share the fun times we enjoyed at Baltimore Public School. When I was absent from school and Beulah was my supply teacher I knew the students would be in good hands and on their best behaviour. Plus all work was marked before she left! She was an amazing educator. Beulah often did canning and we received some of her delicious canned goods (red pepper jelly) around Christmas. She was such a kind and thoughtful woman. Beulah was quite a lady! We will miss her dearly Beulah Marjorie Leone McCoy January 26, 1935 - June 1, 2025 "Rest In Peace"

I don’t know a world without my Aunt Beulah. Anyone who knows her will feel the same. She touched everyone she met. She lead with humour, kindness, wisdom, and of course butter tarts and jam 🤤. Most of my happy childhood memories are connected with Aunt Beulah, Uncle Don, and my cousins. I am honoured and proud to be your niece Aunt Beulah. I miss hearing your laugh already. I love you ❣️. How lucky are Don and Bob to have you with them.
