Trish Baxter (nee Barber) passed peacefully surrounded by her family in Northumberland Hills Hospital May 6th. Trish leaves behind her loving husband James and two children Travis and Jessica.
Trish embodied the character of a "happy warrior": she met every challenge in life not just with an unwaveringly strong will and determination to see things to the end, but with a smile and a brightness of being that helped light the path forward and inspired those around her by her example.
Trish had many loves in her life, she was a devoted baseball mom, barn mom, dog mom and most of all a loving Mother and Wife.
Trish loved with her whole heart and will always be remembered for her big smile and positive attitude, even when facing her darkest times and biggest challenge, Cancer never ruined her smile.
She will truly be missed by all who knew her well.
We would all love to thank the wonderful Doctors and Nurses at Northumberland Hills Hospital for taking such good care of her.
A GoFundMe had been setup to help out during her battle with cancer and has since been repurposed to support the family during their time of loss.

I miss you already buddy. We met as neighbours and turned into friends. I remember when we started walking together how i said "this is so nice" and you said "what is?" and i said finding someone who can talks as much as i do and boy did we both laugh. You talked about Jessica,Travis and your husband James always with a smile on your face and there was no doubt you loved them a lot. When you told me about your cancer treatments thats when i offered to get you there and back. You always went with a smile on your face and such an upbeat attitude and i was so proud of you. Your passing really hit me hard but i did let Travis know that we just live up the street and if anyone needs help come and ask us or it. Thats a promise we will keep. Ive known your husband for a short time and i am pretty sure he will be the best dad he can be for you two young adults. I would always so to Trish "you are the best " and she would always say "thank you". She left me with great memories and i will never forget her beautiful smile. Thanks for being my friend Trish Baxter.
