Sheila passed away on May 11, 2025 after many years of dealing with Parkinson’s Disease. Survived by her number one fan and loving husband, Bob, and their four daughters: Anne-Marie (Edward De Jong), Kathleen (Drew Fagan), Jennifer (Jeffrey Prior) and Monica (Michael Roszak), and by seven grandchildren to whom she was devoted: Christopher, Jeffrey, Jenna, Emma, Aidan, Paige, Claire, and three great-grandchildren, Brielle, Ava and Kai. She was predeceased by her infant daughter, Claire, and her youngest daughter, Elizabeth, who died tragically of brain cancer in 2017. Even though separated by distance, she remained close to her sister Joan Erskine (Norman, deceased) of Winnipeg, and her brothers James Delanty (Monica) of Huntington Beach, California, and Peter Delanty (Suzanne) of Cobourg. She is fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, and her many cherished friends throughout her life.
A native of Cobourg, Sheila enjoyed playing tennis and bridge most of her adult life, and was a dedicated volunteer to countless causes, and an award-winning volunteer at Hospice Thornhill. She had a prodigious memory of significant family events and was an entertaining storyteller. Blessed with a strong faith, she was a longtime member of St. Luke’s Roman Catholic Parish in Thornhill and more recently at Our Lady of Grace in Aurora. The family will receive friends at Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home, 211 Langstaff Road East (west of Bayview Avenue), from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 16. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place within the funeral home in the Chapel of St. Joseph on Saturday, May 17 at 10:30 a.m. The final rite of committal and interment will take place following the Funeral Mass.

Peter and Suzanne, Jim, and Joan, I am very sorry to hear of Sheila's passing. She and my sister Joan were great friends in high school. I remember her being a fun loving person getting into great antics with my sister. Thinking of you all at this sad time. Sincerely, Carol
My partner was diagnosed with Parkinson’s almost 5 years ago. His disease has progressed significantly in the past year, and he begun to have delusions. He also had side effects from carbidopa/levodopa, which we decided to stop, and our primary physician decided he should start on PD-5 formula 4 months ago from UINE HEALTH CENTER. He now sleeps soundly, works out frequently, and is now very active since we started him on the PD-5 formula. It doesn’t make the Parkinson’s disease go away, but it did give him a better quality of life. We got the treatment from www. uineheathcentre. com
