Eve and I were next door neighbours in the Condo Building. If Christmas Day was on a week day we ate our turkey dinners together and then with our own families on the Christmas week-ends. Every year she repotted her own flowers. I can still see her dragging those overweight bags of soil from her garage, past my window. We both thought positive and enjoyed each others company, always. God Bless!
Everyone who met Eve liked her so much, and admired her energy and spirit. She was a real force of nature in our condo. The garden at the corner of George and James is because of her. She's my "garage partner"; we moved here with matching cars and when we both got new cars we chose to match again. I, as well as all who knew her, will miss her smiling face and cheery nature immensely. My sincere sympathy to your family.
Eve will be sorely missed for her smile, cheerfulness and energy.. She was one in a million… REST IN PEACE EVELYE Love Pat and Greg LeClair
We had the distinct privilege of experiencing Eve’s wonderful warm and joyful personality through our PROBUS club events. She loved life and lived it to the fullest. Eve- you will always be remembered. Ron and Barb Swallow
We are saddened greatly by this announcement of Eve’s passing. May much comfort be with the family and friends who knew and loved her. She will be greatly missed by all of the McKendrick family, especially Alma, her close companion on vacations, bridge club, lawn bowling as well as sharing and chatting about their favourite books.
It is with great respect that I send most heartfelt condolences to the family of Mrs. Gorringe. She was a wonderful person who inspired me, as a young child at Burnham school, to a love of learning and reading. I will be forever grateful. 🌸
Just recently, I met Eve at the Public library, and we remembered our connections through our work as teacher-librarians in the Elementary school system. Seems appropriate that our last conversation took place in such a familiar setting. Good memories.
We were so sorry to learn of Eve’s death. We will certainly miss her always cheerful outlook on life, her stories of her early life, her decorating the Christmas “trees” at the back of our building. She was a very strong and determined person, whether it was sweeping out her garage or looking after the corner garden on the property. Our condolences to her family.
Sue and family - thinking of you. ❤️ My deepest condolences. Sharon
So sorry for your loss. Eve was a wonderful person. I got to know her over the last few years from Probus and our bridge group that she hosted every Monday. She will be missed very much.
What a lovely person and accomplished bridge player. Kindness and a willingness to help were wonderful attributes. Enjoyed a number of lunches and dinners with Eve and friends. She was a wonderful host. I offer sincere thoughts and condolences to family and she will be truly missed. Ron
We're so sorry to see that Eve has passed. My mother and Eve spent many hours at the Cobourg Lawn Bowling Club enjoying the sport and visiting with many friends. She was a lovely lady who will not be forgotten. Rest in Peace Eve.

Eve was a cherished member of the Cobourg Lawn Bowling Club. I will especially miss the cheery and positive attitude she had when volunteering to help me with organizing & running our Open Tournaments. My condolences to Eve's family.
No one could tell a story like Mrs. Gorringe! I can still hear her voice, reading “James and the Giant Peach.” We would all be sitting at her feet, captivated!
My condolences to Mrs Gorringe s loved ones Mrs Gorringe was a lovely person. I enjoyed her company best at Burnham school. The kindness, the amazing stories. The lessons. I hope you all take comfort in the many memories you share.
I love you grandma Eve. You will be forever missed and every memory will always be cherished.
I knew Eve from playing cards at the Cobourg Duplicate Bridge Club. She always walked into the playing area with a big grin. She had more energy than some people half her age. She was a delight to play against and her smile and warmth will be sorely missed.
Evelyn was a lovely lady whom we did work for on her house and property for many years… always a pleasure to work with and we were always greeted with a smile. We will miss her. Condolences to her family!
