It is with heavy hearts the family of Frederick “Fred” Rossell Balheim announce his passing at Ed’s House Hospice Wednesday, May 7th, 2025. Fred passed peacefully surrounded in the love of his family. He is the beloved husband of Sharon Belheim (nee Graham). Together they shared almost 25 years of a wonderful marriage together. Fred is the proud father of his daughters Elaine (Wayne) Andrews and Teresa (Ted) Clark. Loved grandpa of Stephen Andrews, Kevin Andrews and TJ Trask. Fred is the brother of Marlene, Shirley, Norm and the late Karl. He will be missed dearly by his extended family and many friends.
Fred’s greatest passion was the upkeep of his lawn and gardens. He was well known in the neighborhood and loved chatting with neighbors about it. When not in his garden, Fred was out for a drive with Sharon, or in his wood shop working on this next project.
Fred’s family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at Ed’s House Hospice for your compassionate care as well as to the many neighbours who took the time to care for and check in on Fred and Sharon over the years. You are all greatly appreciated. On Friday, May 9th, 2025 Fred will be laid to rest at Mount Forest Cemetery, Mount Forest Ontario. There will be a graveside service at 1 pm followed by a gathering at The Spot Restaurant in Mount Forest from 2pm to 4pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice Care Centre, the Northumberland Hills Hospital Foundation or the Northumberland Humane Society.
Fred will be missed in our neighbourhood. His concern for others and his consistent friendly support will greatly missed. His devotion to his gardens and lawn was an example and inspiration to all of us. I will miss him.
