With hearts full of love and gratitude, though heavy with sadness, we share the news that our extraordinary, strong, feisty, and determined sister/mom, Joanne Irene Watters in her 93rd year, has moved on to her next adventure. Beloved sister of John; wife of the late John Malcolm Watters and loving Mom/Nana/GG to Sally (/Larry, Cathy/Kristian, Koen, Caden, Chase, Kim/Cory, Christie/Brandon); to the late Nikki (/Sylvain, Alice/Walter, Enzo, Eli) and to Robyn (/Ron, Mitch/Lauren, Bethany, Josh). and all the fur- babies. Cherished aunt of Anne, Gary, Jane and their families. She was deeply loved, will be forever missed, but always with us, in our hearts, our thoughts and our strength.
Special thanks to the incredible staff at Ed's House Hospice for their care and compassion and the Care staff at Palisade Gardens for their ongoing support. To Mom's angel on Earth, Paula, we are forever grateful.
Donations in Memory, to Ed's House Hospice in Cobourg, or a charity of choice are welcomed and truly appreciated. A toast to Mom and her life well lived will follow in early summer. Please contact the family for details.

I am so sorry that Joanne has left this life. She was one of the first people to welcome me to the condo in 2015. Her great love for her family kept her going, as did her enjoyment of playing bridge and of cooking, which she kindly shared with many of us. My sincere sympathy to Robyn, Sally, and all of her family.
Joanne was indeed feisty and a wonderful bridge partner. My sincere condolences to her family.
My condolences to all the family. She was a wonderful lady with a great sense of humour.
Joanne was indeed extraordinary, strong and feisty. She was full of life! So glad to have known her a little! My sincere condolences to her family.
Our deepest condolences to you all. Joanne was a lovely person to chat with and she always asked about our family with kindness and thoughtfulness. Her recalling the "Fab four " tennis team of 4 ladies that played was important to my mother. We will be missed very much by our family and I know my mother cherished Joanne's friendship over the years. RIP Joanne and thank you for being so kind to my mother. You will be remembered fondly and often.
My husband, Ron Coles, and I were very lucky indeed to have Joanne as our tenant for 14 years. She loved the condo by the lake in Cobourg and often invited me for tea and a chat. I really enjoyed her company! I laughed whenever she would introduce me to other residents in the building as Bonnie, “My owner”. Such a lovely lady…. My deepest sympathy to all of the family.
Joanne was a beautiful person, I loved her joy for life and family and her keen sense of humour. I admired how she engaged with all her extended relatives and have fond memories of times with Uncle John, Joanne and her beautiful daughters Sally, Nikki and Robyn. Sending loving thoughts and sympathy as you farewell a lovely lady. Donna Marie & Tom Gilpin, Brisbane Australia

I was a volunteer for Community Care Northumberland and called Joanne on Thursdays. We had many laughs and I enjoyed our conversations. Her birthday on the 4th was the same date as my son’s so no problem remembering. She so enjoyed her trip to the East Coast on her 90 birthday with her daughters. I always had to call at a specific time before her bridge and coffee at 9.30 or a daughter taking her shopping . To her daughters, you were blessed with a great mom.
I was deeply saddened to hear about Joanne’s passing. Having known Nikki, I remember the warmth and kindness that runs in your family. My heartfelt condolences to you all during this difficult time. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Sending condolences to Joanne’s family. I had the pleasure of cleaning for Joanne (&John) for 25yrs and we became great friends, my late Mom also enjoyed playing bridge with Joanne for many years. My SIL Paula took over for me once I became and snowbird and she did an amazing job, a true angle to Joanne, we are all so thankful for her care giving during Joanne’s last few years. You sure lived a wonderful life, we will miss you RIP
