Peacefully at Northumberland Hills Hospital on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at the age of 86.
A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Ron is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Marilyn (née Millar), his sons Jeffrey (Sue), Steven (Renuka), and William (Andrea), and his cherished daughter-in-law Anna. He was an extremely proud grandfather to Matthew (Madeleine), Kristen (Alex), Chloe (Edward), Nicholas, Austin, and Zack.
Ron found his greatest joy in being surrounded by family. As a lifelong entrepreneur, he worked closely with Marilyn and their children, building both a business and a legacy grounded in care, commitment, and togetherness. He was an avid follower of politics, a loyal Maple Leafs fan, and took particular delight in tackling his books of sudoku puzzles. He was extremely happy watching his grandchildren grow, and treasured every moment spent with family and friends.
In keeping with Ron’s wishes, no formal service will be held. A private family celebration of life will be planned at a later date in 2025. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses, and support staff at Northumberland Hills Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ron’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.

Saddened to hear of Ron's passing. I learned many things from Ron working for him and my Dad in the summers, unloading trucks with Bill, Steve and Jeff. Ron was always there to lend a hand, drop a quip or provide sage advice. My thoughts are with the Murray family at this difficult time.
