Passed away peacefully at Northumberland Hills Hospital on Thursday March 20, 2025 at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Karen Island (nee Bellamy). Loving father of Paula Island, Meredith Mott (Jason) and the late John Paul Island. Proud grandfather of Ryan and Kathleen. Brother of Karen Peters (late Harold), Michael Island (Linda) and the late William Island. A private family service will be held at a later date. The family wishes to thank the Doctors, Nurses and P.S.W.’s at Northumberland Hills Hospital for their care and compassion. Donations may be made to Northumberland Hills Hospital Foundation.

Great memories of our annual Thornlea Street Parties and volunteering at the Trinity Anglican Church for their annual dinners. Paul always had a great sense of humor and a smile for everyone he met. I remember a few street gatherings that my parents (John and Jane Boreham) and I attended, among other memories from the Colborne gang. It has been many years since those days. Karen, Paula and Meredith I am so sorry to hear of Pauls passing. He was a wonderful husband, father,grandfather,brother,Kinsmen and Goodtimer(he was a stud on defence). He was also a great nextdoor neighbour to my parents for 30 years.Thank you Paul for the countless times you helped my mother shovel her driveway. That was quite the garden you guys had in the backyard! I wonder if they have street parties up in heaven. You can be sure he is catching up with J.P. right now!
