It is with heavy hearts the family of Darnell announce her peaceful passing at Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg on Sunday, January 5th, at 71 years of age.
Darnell was the beloved wife of Ray of 51 years. Loving mother of Debbie (Doug) and Kimberley (Jason). Proud grandmother of Madison, Emma, Eva and Raya. Dear sister to Richard (Dana), Marie and the late Robert and Larry. Daughter of the late Richard and Helen Moore, and daughter-in-law to Shirley and the late Raymond Landry. Sister-in-law to Ed (Joanne), Dave (Rosa), Debbie, Rob (Lisa), and aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Darnell was a devoted wife, mother, and nanny and always put her family first. She did everything in life with a sense of humour, no matter what life threw at her. She was very strong-willed, right til the end.
Thank you to the many doctors, nurses and PSWs at Northumberland Hills Hospital for the great care they provided to Darnell over the last few months. We are truly grateful for the compassion they provided to her and to her family during her final days.
A Funeral Service will be held at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St. E. in Cobourg on Sunday, January 12th, 2025, at 1 pm with visitation at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service, from 12 noon until 1 pm. A reception will follow the service at the MacCoubrey Funeral Home Reception Centre.
If desired, donations may be made to The War Amps.
