Cherished Grandmother of Kelly-Anne (Adam Bettio), Andrew(Allison MacPherson), Samantha (Marek Zaluski), Christina (Justin Way). MESSAGES OF CONDOLENCE / DONATIONS

Hilda Ethel MacFarlane - December 17, 2024

My deepest condolences to Edna's family. Edna was a fun loving person and my late husband and I enjoyed several visits with her while she lived on Black River Road in Bracebridge. She will be greatly missed.

The MacDonald Family - December 14, 2024

Our deepest condolences to Marlene and Debbie. Our memories are too many to count of our time with your family. Your Mom was a force all of her own. She always made it clear that she was the boss, not our own parents. We never questioned her authority. Sending you both our love and lots of hugs

Bob and Eileen Murray - December 14, 2024

Paul Fralick - December 14, 2024

Farewell to my last auntie. She was always Edna Mae to me. When I was a school-ager, she was a wild teen - a bobby-soxer and huge Elvis fan. Very cool, sometimes fiery & always easy to talk to. In the late 60s/early 70s I'd bus up to Orillia to spend a weekend with Edna Mae, Murray & Marlene, Kevin, Debbie & Bernie. Always lots of laugh and lots of fun. She had a special relationship with my mom who delayed going to Nursing School so she could help out her mom with young infant Edna Mae. Jennifer & I are glad we visited her in her 2 long term care homes. Love, Paul xx

When I’m Gone By Mrs. Lyman Hancock When I come to the end of my journey And I travel my last weary mile Just forget if you can, that I ever frowned And remember only the smile Forget unkind words I have spoken Remember some good I have done Forget that I ever had heartache And remember I’ve had loads of fun Forget that I’ve stumbled and blundered And sometimes fell by the way Remember I have fought some hard battles And won, ere the close of the day Then forget to grieve for my going I would not have you sad for a day But in summer just gather some flowers And remember the place where I lay And come in the shade of evening When the sun paints the sky in the west Stand for a few moments beside me And remember only my best. Deepest condolences to all of my cousins in the recent passing and loss of a truly beautiful soul, "Edna Mae" Longson. Peace be with her and all of her family members at this time. Warm Regards, Heather Vieira & Family

Auntie Edna Mae always put a smile on my face. From a story about farm life to a bear sniffing around her humming bird feeder to a beautifully sewn shirt for uncle Murray to some thoughtful advice in a family crisis! A one-of-a-kind lady, her own self. We will miss u auntie Edna Mae. From the Chouinard Weideman’s, Eastern Townships, Quebec.
