I feel fortunate to have known this kind and gracious lady and to have called her a dear friend. I’ll cherish all the special times I have spent with Jane playing tennis, curling, golfing and fun times visiting cottages. Keep all your memories near and dear to you. The service for Aunt Jane was a great tribute to her memory and the good and light she brought into the world. It gave me pause to reflect on how I might learn from her example to carry that forward. I will miss her. Sending thoughts of love and my condolences to all of you all.

To you Al and all of the family...my thoughts are with you. What wonderful friends you were with mom and dad, and over the years I have relished in the stories of your adventures together! Lifelong friendships like yours were cherished and never forgotten.

While we were unable to be with you at your beautiful church, we were there in spirit as we viewed the service online. We are deeply saddened by Aunt Jane's passing. She was a warm and caring Aunt, and a lively participant at many Family Picnics and other gatherings. To Uncle Al, and all of the cousins and extended family, our sincere condolences.

Jane was a special person and so determined. I had the pleasure of knowing her, curling with her as well as playing with golf with Jane in the WNCC Swing and Sweep. I was at the club when Jane delivered her first rock after coming back following her stroke a few year's ago. I have that shot video'd on my phone...her rock finishing in the rings! Fortunately I was able to visit Jane, a short two weeks ago. My condolences to all of Jane's family.

On my very first visit to St. Peter's many years ago, Jane was in the pulpit and I can hear her to this day saying, "We can do it." All underlined, bold, and in italics. It has been my mantra ever since whenever faced with a difficult task and always will be. Jane was an inspiration to us all. She will be so missed. I was so privileged to have curled with Jane or as her opposition. She was a steady and calm Skip. She said never a ‘disparaging word’. She was a delight to talk to. I send my heartfelt condolences to the family and hope that memories of her smile and love sustain you in your grief.

I am so sorry to hear of Jane's passing. I met Jane curling in the Monday morning Ladies league a number of years ago. She was loving referred to as 'the Queen of Curling'. I was fortunate enough to be on her team in an out of town tournament - we placed second, which she said was "not bad for a team with two 1st year curlers". Jane was a kind woman, eager to share her knowledge on the ice, and I feel fortunate to have known her. My sincere condolences to all who loved her.

I send my heart felt sympathy to Al and the whole Howarth family. Although I didn't visit with Jane too many times I really enjoyed the times we did get together. What a fine fine woman of faith she was! She has been a model for us all.

We have many fond memories of Jane. She was always kind even when she had to be firm in a decision. Bob and she were on the investment committee at St Peter’s church many years ago. Over the past few years we’ve enjoyed meeting Al and Jane while out on our daily walk about the library.
