Bill and I are truly saddened by the sudden passing of Lee. To Carol and his family we offer our most sincere condolences. Lee will be fondly remembered by myself from the 60s working in tobacco and during the years we shared a common interest in municipal government. He was a straight shooter and for that he was admired, but criticized by some. I respected his no-nonsense approach. RIP Lee. You have earned it.

I am saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Lee Dekeyser. He was always so thoughtful of others and always working at making other lives better. Lee always had a positive attitude. He helped Ben and me on several occasions, once driving us home in a snow/sleet/ice storm when we were stranded on the road. He and Carol always welcomed people into their home. He will be missed and he will leave many happy memories with friends and family.

Dear Carol and the Dekeyser/Brown families: We were saddened today to learn about Lee's death. If ever there was one in the Cramahe area, Lee was that "force to be reckoned with!" He was sometimes a challenging person with whom to debate ... particularly when it came to agriculture and Cramahe politics ... Lee was always a delight to have around. His smile was contagious. He will be missed by a great many people. Our hearts are with you. Tom & Linda Philp

Lee was a true guardian of Cramahe Township but also, he was a defender of a common sense approach to everything. I remember going to Lee's home to build park benches for the town while he had an interveinous line in his arm for blood poisoning. He also had an endless supply of energy with a heart of gold. Lee still makes me laugh, thinking about his funny demeanor. He always made a point to visit me in the town gardens whenever he was in town. The world is less without Lee in it.
