It is with great sadness that we share the peaceful passing of Robert (Boomer) Marshall Turland at The Bridge Hospice in Warkworth, Ontario on 22 October 2024; at the age of 59, with his family at his side.

Robert leaves behind his wife Lesley; his children Riley Turland and Rebecca Barlow, both of Peterborough; stepchildren; Alicia (Cory) Maracle of Shannonville, ON and Andrew (Rachel) Urquhart of Plainfield, ON. Rob was the most loving Papa to his grandchildren Hunter and Harlee Maracle. He was predeceased by his parents William and Delores, as well as his older brother Bernie. Rob is dearly loved by his brothers Chris (Julie) of Toronto; Shawn (Mary) of Cobourg; sister Angie Turland of Cobourg; and Linda Bambridge-Turland (Bernie); Robert is loved by all his nieces, nephews and friends.

Robert served 32 years with the Canadian Armed Forces (3RCR) - Royal Canadian Regiment. Rob was a proud and professional Royal. PRO PATRIA!

Rob’s most loved passion was playing goalie in Hockey both in his military career and in his personal life. Rob was always pursued by many teams as they saw greatness in him.
Our family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for the excellence of care, the professionalism, and the loving hospitality we received from the incredible team at The Bridge Hospice.
