I didn't know your mom well, but I always knew who she was. I remember seeing your family outside the Baptist church on sunny Sunday mornings (we were Presbyterian). I'd also see your mom on special occasions in the Downtown or Victoria Park, often accompanied by her husband George, who I knew a lot better. What I noticed above all was how well dressed, how well 'tuned out' your mom was, always classy and fashionable. I will treasure that memory and share the grieve your family is feeling.

She inspired me to paint - we were both in the Cobourg Art Club - and I loved her sense of life. In later years, whenever I saw her on the street, we always stopped to chat.
