On September 19, 2024, in his 70th year, Roy passed peacefully after a short fight with cancer. He leaves to mourn his wife Eva, his sons Christian (Elizabeth) and Robert (Taylor). His step-children Lisa (Rod), Tina (Daryle), and Rick. His step-grandchildren Martin, Lindsay, Kaylee, Chris, JT and Carter.
His mother Grace. His siblings Marlene (Eric), Lorraine (John), Dan, Brenda (John), Shelley (Ted), and Tracey (Eric). His many nieces and nephews.
Roy was predeceased by his father Carl, his brothers Doug (Marg) and Scott (Chris) and his step-son Kenny.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday October 19th, 2024 at the Keeler Centre, Colborne, from 1:00pm – 4:00pm

To the Chapman family and families I am so sorry for your loss. My prayers for a speedy comfort at this difficult time. We all try to say something to give you strength. The pain you are feeling is the love you all had for Roy. I know if you look hard you can almost see his presence but you can feel it right by your side. The memories are flowing so grab one and relive it. The warmth you will feel again. The smile will appear. My heart goes out to Roy's wife. And it is not easy for a parent to let a child gain his seat at the table with their set of wings. My deepest condolences to Roy's mom. May he rest in peace ?.

Grace and family, we were so sorry to read of Roy's passing. I remember the time Roy came home to surprise you and Carl for an aniversery. You were in Brighton, Elaine called asking me to call as soon as you left the beauty salon, the family were gift wrapping Roy, a surprise gift when you returned home. I will cherish many experiences as a teenager growing up with Roy " many not to be mentioned" he was a one of a kind who lived life his way. Although Roy has spent most of his adult life in Alberta he has left many friends back here in Ontario saddened by his passing. RIP cous

Roy was a man who would do anything for anyone if they needed a hand, I remember my mom needed apples to make a pie Roy went and got my mom a basket of apple but she had to make him a pie. I have very fond memories of Roy and I will miss him dearly, my heart goes out to Mom,Daniel, Lorraine Marlene, Shelly and Tracy and all who loved him.
