Suddenly, on Thursday, September 26, 2024, Robert Earl “Bob” Lindsay passed away at Northumberland Hills Hospital at the age of 71. He leaves behind his best friend and wife of 38 years, Lynn (nee Vennor) Lindsay. Loved father to Paul Lindsey, David (Kelly) Lindsey, Scott (Amanda) Gordon, and Lori (Mark) Gore. Grandfather of many beloved Grandchildren. Bob will be deeply missed by his brother John (Barb) Lindsay and his favourite sister Betty. He is reunited in heaven with his brothers Ron, Wilfred, Carl, Charles, George and his Mom & Dad. Bob was a man with about “a zillion” friends and for someone who knew so many, he managed to have no enemies. In his 71 years, he managed to touch and change the lives of many and will never be forgotten. His family is thankful that Bob was surrounded by many people who loved him. Bob was full of life and our hearts are not ready to let him go. He is going to be deeply missed by his extended family and his wonderful friends. As per Bob’s wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be on Sunday, October 27th, 2024 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Harmony Creek Golf Centre (1000 Bloor St E, Oshawa). In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bob may be made to a charity of your choice.

Love ya my big brother! My heart is broke....too soon...
So Shocked when my dad told me that Bob had passed. I have many memories of Bob. They started when I was just a kid and him and my Dad played ball together every Thursday night at the fields by the collage. After the games most of the team would all go to Bobs for a beer. I would always bug my dad to go back so I could go for a swim in their pool. I remember always hoping Dave or Lori were home to because I thought they were so cool and they would always chat and hang out with me. I also remember one night we went back to bobs after ball and he took me downstairs to showed me all the football helmets he collected. I thought that was sooo cool the collection he had. I also worked with Bob at Gen auto for about 9 years. He was my favourite checker on rail! A few years after retiring from gen auto I would run into him and Lynn every once in a while at different venues when I worked doing wedding decor they would be there with gotcha covered and Bob and I would always have a chat. He was a great man. My condolences go out to Lynn and family. You will be missed Bob! Rest in peace my friend!

We are so sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. Our deepest condolences go out to Lynn and her family. Bob was a great guy and we will miss him very much.
It’s with a heavy heart that I write this. Bob was a great friend to both Bernice and I. We made a lot of memories camping together during the summer months and playing cards at either our house or theirs during the winter months. The sudden loss caught us off guard as it did for all who knew him. Jokester, quick witted, kind, you need him, he’s there. Her Bud is gone but will not be forgotten.
I worked with Bob for 43 yrs. During a difficult time he took me aside and said. Sometimes it's not worth the bother or fight, just let it go. You know you were right just let it go. Thank you Bobby for that great advice. My heart goes out to Lynn I know he was your soul mate and protected.

As so many of us mentioned earlier everything went unbelievably fast from 2 Sunday ago when we chatted and had a beer together at Scott’s and Amanda. For me and Carmen we can only say that he will be missed and I will always remember his candid smile and pointed remarks. May God rest his soul and rest in peace! Our sincere condolences to the entire family!!!
