It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of William (Bill) Rowland. Bill leaves behind his beloved wife and best friend Mavis (White), much loved daughter Tracy McGinnis (Todd), son Scott, grandson Jamen Rowland (Jass), grandaughter Alysha Rowland and great granddaughter Aalaina. Cherished brother-in-law of Gerry White (Cathy), Michael White (Erma), Tommy White (Lisa), Christopher White (Denise), Laurie-Anne White, Cecile Deschamps and honorary sister-in-law Dianne Bray. Will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Our sincere thanks to Dr. Mulé and the many doctors, nurses and PSWs at NHH as Bill moved from 2B to 1A and finally to Palliative Care. In particular, our thanks to Palliative Care nurses Carolyn, Corrie, Karen and Monique, PSWs Ashley and Claudette and nursing students Hailey and Toluwani for the exceptional care he received during the last leg of his journey. At Bill's request, there will be no funeral or visitation. A private graveside service will be held later. If you would like to make a donation in Bill's memory, you might consider Northumberland Hills Hospital Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
